The Baseline Survey provides a comprehensive benchmark of the flora, fauna, water quality and groundwater conditions of River Murray wetlands in South Australia.

Ecological Associates led the vegetation component of the first baseline survey, the largest of its kind in South Australia at the time. The survey involved GIS mapping of vegetation communities, plant species inventories and surveys of tree health. The survey was undertaken in partnership with SKM who coordinated teams investigating fauna, water quality and groundwater.
